The BMW Z8
The BMW Z8, a two-door convertible, was produced from 2000 to 2003. The Z8 was intended to compete with the Dodge Viper RT/10, Mercedes-Benz SL55 and Wiesmann MF. The Z8 resembles its predecessor the Z07 in many ways. This is because this model received very good reviews.
The Z8 was released with only one different engine: a 4.9L V8 petrol engine delivering 400 hp, together with a six-speed manual transmission. This results in a top speed of 250 km/h where you can fly from 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
The interior of the Z8 consists mainly of leather. This can even be seen on parts of the dashboard and center console. The exterior of the Z8 is made entirely of aluminum. The Z8 is also known for its long bonnet. BMW also introduced innovations on the Z8, including neon light technology applied to the indicators, taillights and brake lights. An advantage of this neon light is that the response time is faster and it has a longer lifespan.
The Z8 had no choice of accessories, because it already came with a hardtop, heated rear window, a Harman Kardon sound system and a Motorola mobile phone. It was only possible to choose from 5 different colors for the exterior, and for the interior one could choose from 3 colors of leather: beige, red and black.
