Ford GT40 classic

The Ford GT40 first appeared in 1964. The GT40 was named after the Gran Turismo category for which the car was built. The goal of the Ford GT40 was to win endurance races against Ferrari. This happened successfully because the GT40 won the 24 hours of Le Mans 4 years in a row.

The Ford GT40 came with a five-speed manual transmission and a 5.0 or 7.0 liter V8 mid-engine that delivered 306 hp. This resulted in exceptionally good performance. The GT40, for example, accelerated to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and had a top speed of 225 km/h. This was partly due to the weight of the car, which was very light. The GT40 weighed only about 1000 kilos.

A total of 107 Ford GT40s were produced between 1967 and 1969. This makes the car very rare and therefore the price tag for a beautiful GT40 is very high. A GT40 will cost you more than 7.5 million.
