Porsche 356B
The Porsche 356 was a lightweight rear-engine rear-wheel-drive 2-door sports car available in hardtop coupe and convertible. This model has undergone major revisions over time, which is why the Porsche 356s were divided into the groups: 356A, 356B and 356C.
At the end of 1959 the Porsche 356B came on the market. The reason for this was the more significant styling and technical refinements of the car (a T5 body type). The 356B was produced until 1962. The mid-1962 356B model got a change, namely the T6 body type. This variant also received a unique “Karmann Hardtop” or “Notchback”. The 1961 production run was essentially the body of a convertible with the optional steel convertible hardtop welded in place.
The 356s also had a four-cylinder pushrod. These were later reintroduced in the Porsche 912, as there were complaints from customers that the new Porsche 911 was too expensive.
