Porsche 918

The Porsche 918 was unveiled in March 2010 at the Geneva Motor Show as a concept car and launched in 2013 as a two-seater plug-in hybrid sports car. A total of 918 copies were made. When the Porsche 918 was unveiled in 2013, it was already sold out one year later in December 2014.

The Porsche 918 is powered by a 4.6 liter V8 mid-engine that delivers 608 hp. This is supplemented by 2 electric motors that provide an additional 279 hp. In total, the Porsche 918 has 887 hp. This results in an acceleration of 2.5 seconds to 100 km/h and a top speed of 351 km/h. This engine is mated to a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox.

Porsche unveiled a racing variant of the 918 at the 2010 North American International Auto Show with the name Porsche 918 RSR. This variant combines the hybrid technology with the styling of the 918.
