1948 Porsche 356 Pre-A
The 1948 Porsche 356 Pre-A was a 4-cylinder, rear-engine, air-cooled, rear-wheel-drive sports car designed by Ferdinand Porsche. The Porsche 356 Pre-A became one of the most iconic Porsche cars ever built. These early Pre-A Porsche 356 models were handcrafted in aluminum, however, when production moved to Germany in 1950, they would become steel-bodied. These original Pre-A Porsches are highly sought-after. It took Porsche almost two years to manufacture its first 50 examples.
