1951 Porsche 356
The first of the Porsche 356 models, often designated Pre-A, run from early 1950 to September 1955 and can be identified by it's windscreen. The Porsche Pre-A models were produced with a 2-piece windscreen that had a rubber dividing seal up until April 1952. From 1952 to the start of the Porsche 356A models, buyers will find the 356 Pre-A with a single piece of glass, however these can be distinguished by their bent v-shape. Yet another indication you are looking at an early Porsche 356, such as the 1951 Porsche 356, are the small rectangular rear lights. With the Pre-A, 4-cylinder models being some of the most sought-after classic cars on the market today, being able to identify them on the spot is key to find a Porsche 356.
